**Hours**:Part time, 10 hours per week - usual working hours will be between 5pm-7pm (possibility of additional hours)

We're on the lookout for a dedicated Cleaner to join our friendly team and help keep Breckland Council's offices clean, hygienic, and welcoming for staff and visitors alike.

Working as part of our Property & Estates team, you'll play a key role in creating a safe, fresh, and comfortable environment that reflects our values and shows pride in the spaces we manage.

**What You'll Be Doing**:

- Carry out daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitising all areas.
- Keep washrooms and kitchen spaces spotless, restocking supplies like soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish responsibly.
- Work safely and responsibly, following all health and safety guidance.
- Flag any maintenance or safety issues to your supervisor.
- Travel to other sites when needed, with mileage support provided.

**You're someone who**:

- Takes pride in doing a thorough job and leaves things better than you found them.
- Is reliable, punctual, and can be trusted to work independently or as part of a team.
- Has previous cleaning experience (ideally in office or commercial settings).
- Knows their way around common cleaning tools, equipment, and materials.
- Understands the importance of safety and follows guidance around cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Has good communication skills and a positive, helpful attitude
