**10 hour shifts**

**Our Security Officers will have the duty of**:

- Manning the university, student library and student accommodation.
- Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV
- Carry out patrols across the sites
- Be on the lookout for any suspicious or threatening behaviour
- Retain full control of threatening behaviour until the arrival of the police.
- Report writing and monitoring loss and waste
- Re-issuing keys and booking in visitors
- Patrolling Accommodation, University and Library.
- Noise control - dealing with any noise complaints within the accommodation.

**Essential Skills**

**Requirements of Security Officer**:

- Excellent customer service, people skills, organisational skills and time management
- Ability to stay alert
- SIA License
- 5-year checkable employment history
- Driving Licence (preferred)
