**Oaklands Court** is a 43 bed nursing home for the elderly in Horam, near Heathfield. We are looking for an experienced receptionist / administrator to join our team.

The administrator is the first point of contact within the home, ensuring that professional, high quality customer care is delivered in a consistent way. In addition to reception duties the administrator completes a wide range of administrative duties supporting the team across the home.

**Package**:

- Part time role, 24 hours per week, to including weekend working
- Hours - 9am to 5pm.
- Location: Oaklands Court Nursing Home, Vines Cross Road, Horam, TN21 0HD

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Welcome and greet visitors to the home in a professional and courteous way, ensuring the visitors book and the person’s identity is checked as far as reasonably practical.
- Answer the telephone and respond to enquiries at reception, redirecting calls to relevant staff and recording messages accordingly.
- Provide administration support to the home manager and staff team on a daily basis, ensuring that the strictest confidentiality practices are followed at all times.
- Respond to any emergency situations as requested by the home
- Ensure that confidentiality is foremost in all actions with residents, family members and staff at all times and that any information heard or discussed is not shared with any external parties.
- Updating and maintenance of resident and staff information software

**Person Specification**
- Excellent customer service skills
- IT literacy - competent with the use of systems
- Previous telephone experience
- Professional telephone manner
- Knowledge of general administration
- Previous exposure to problem solving
- Good communication skills
- Neat and well presented as the front line person to the home
- Excellent written and verbal English
