Our client is looking for an experienced & dynamic individual for the role of Electrical Maintenance Technician within their Chesterfield operation. This exciting role ensures key deliverables in safety & reliability of the plant are met; technical supportis available within the shift, & production support is delivered when required. The role holder is responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance, fault finding & diagnostics, & engineering repairs across the site’s operation. A full knowledge of electricalsystems & compliance is essential & a good understanding of instrumentation & control systems is desirable. - Ensures that all activities are performed in compliance with safety rules and in-line with group procedures. - PTW and LOTO systems are followed with due care and attention. - Ensures compliance with environmental policies and procedures. - Meet all environmental targets are met and any non-conformances are reported following the correct procedure and processes. - Site to achieve and maintain ISO14001 accreditation. - Ensuring the safety of themselves & others when working on site - Operating the site safety systems, including the "LOTO isolation" & "Permit to work" systems - Producing risk assessments & standard work instructions for related tasks - Undertaking regular preventive maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, inspection & safety inspections - Effective problem solving for engineering & related problems, & completing reactive repairs to breakdowns - Contributing to root cause analysis of failures & faults - Liaising with external agencies & manufacturers, & supervising contractors should the nature of a problem or fault extend beyond the knowledge of the role holder - Machinery directive, safety, and machine controls - DCS systems - Electrical and control systems equipment knowledge - Working knowledge of computerised systems is essential. - Always takes proactive involvement in H&S (including but not limited to working to SOPs, wears PPE without reminders, conducts audits on times, actively participates with near miss procedures - Enthusiastic to improve electrical reliability on site.
