Liverpool, United Kingdom Marie Curie Full time

Marie Curie is the UK’s leading end-of-life charity. We are the largest non-NHS provider of end-of-life care in the UK, the only provider across all 4 nations, delivering community nursing and hospice care across the country, while providing information and support on all aspects of dying, death, and bereavement. Our leading research pushes the boundaries of what we know about good end-of-life, and our campaigns fight for a world where everyone gets to have the best possible quality of life while living with an illness they’re likely to die from.

The care and support we provide is highly valued by the people we care for and their loved ones, but at present we are only reaching around 10% of dying people at the end of life. Right now, one in four people in the UK with a terminal illness, do not get the care or support they deserve at the end of their lives.

Marie Curie are recruiting for a Hub Coordinator to join our team in Liverpool, on a part-time basis to cover a maternity leave for 6-months.

**Hours**:This vacancy is for 35 hours per week spread across days, evenings and weekends.

As a Hub Coordinator, you will play a key role as part of our clinical support team as you act as a first point of contact for all Marie Curie services in the North-West of England.

Collaborating closely with Senior Coordinators, you will help maintain the efficient operation of the coordination hub by liaising with both clinical support and management staff, as well as, volunteers, referrers, local CHC teams, and patients’ families and carers during and after care.

You will oversee and facilitate the referral process, coordinate and schedule care as needed, ensuring precise data entry into both operational and clinical systems. This will involve use of Robotic Process Automation systems such as eCommunity, EMIS and SystemOne.

This position demands a high level of diplomacy, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work accurately under pressure.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Experience in a customer care or mediation role, including dealing with complaints in a health setting
- Excellent communication, inter-personal and organisational skills
- A commitment to helping patients with complex care needs
- Ability to solve problems and take proactive action to address issues
- A desire to help others, work towards targets and develop their skills

**What's in it for you**:

- Competitive Policy for parental/sick Leave
- Continuous Professional development
- Industry leading training programmes
- Season ticket loan for travelling to and from work
- Defined contribution schemes for Pension
- Marie Curie Group Personal Pension Scheme
- Loan schemes for bikes; computers and satellite navigation systems
- Introduce a friend scheme
