**Position: Senior Java Developer**

**Location: Central Birmingham - Hybrid one day per week in the office.**

**Salary: £70,000 to £75,000 plus Benefits**

This company is a very well-respected Software house and Data Analytics consultancy that provides highly innovative solutions to large Corporates to their Net Zero questions.

They are looking to move to cloud-native development allowing a more modular and re-usable approach to their code and will be moving to an Azure Native environment.

We envisage that you will mainly work from home with one day a week in the office in Birmingham.

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with experience in software design and architecture alongside your strong coding skills.

Ideally, you will have led a small team of developers and will be keen to adopt a cloud-native development culture.

**Role**

As a Lead Developer, you will be responsible for designing, delivering, and maintaining software deployments on their Accelerated Insight Platform. You will contribute heavily to the architecture of the platform as well as mentor junior to mid-level developersin best practices while driving code efficiency, enhancing functionality, and ensuring test coverage is kept to a high standard.

**Background**

You will have at least 5 years of experience in Java development delivering high-quality solutions in an Agile environment.

Any Angular experience would be welcome as would cloud knowledge in Azure or AWS.

During this time, you will have gained experience working with stakeholders to translate requirements into user stories and contributing to the overall success of the delivery of software projects.

You have a passion for technology and problem-solving and find achievement in creating innovative solutions to complex problems.

You are self-motivated in keeping up to date with the latest technology trends, especially around cloud-native design and implementation.

**Experience**

We are looking for a lead developer with strong core Java design and development experience using Java 11 + and Spring Boot.

We would also expect you to have experience working in an Agile environment using Jira.

Any Angular and cloud experience would be great too, but this is not a requirement.
