**Summary**:
**Job description**:
As a G7 Commercial lead you will be accountable for the end-to-end procurement process and overall design and delivery of your category strategy, you will report into the IT infrastructure Tower lead.
You will be responsible for the delivery of a seamless customer experience for the purchasing and contract management of IT services and goods. You will ensure that all procurements deliver:
- Innovative solutions;
- Competitive commercial models;
- Compliant commercial solutions, in line with government procurement regulations.
You will also develop highly effective and trusted relationships with key senior internal and external stakeholder groups.
**Responsibilities**:
- You will work with teams to deliver end-to-end procurements as well as manage and prioritise the upcoming pipeline of procurement activity and work with the post-award team to manage the end-to-end commercial risk;
- You will develop, maintain, and execute a long-term category strategy with key stakeholders across the Chief Digital & Information Office (CDIO) and IT commercial, ensuring alignment across teams. This will allow you to build and develop stakeholder relationships across relevant business area(s) providing commercial and category advice in the relevant category area to bring about best in class commercial strategies to support category management activities;
- You are required to ensure that market and sector intelligence is maximised and emerging and/or innovative solutions and suppliers are considered in all commercial activities undertaken; ensuring that category solutions and associated commercial models meet business needs and objectives by constructively challenging requirements;
- You will utilise SAP Ariba to track spend reporting and contract compliance;
- Specialist category knowledge of market, suppliers, commercial models and value lever;
- Strong digital skills in SAP;
- Excellent knowledge of procurement processes and the commercial arena;
- End-to-end multiple category lifecycle experience within large and complex business environments;
- Strong stakeholder relationship management skills.
