Assistant Psychologist

The successful post holder will need previous experience of working as an assistant psychologist in mental health or learning disability settings where they have delivered one to one interventions or group work, or had the opportunity to help develop and use formulations with service users and teams. You need to be able to develop good rapport with people with complex mental health needs and have enthusiasm for working within this clinical area. The work will include working alongside a range of staff, contributing to formulation, conducting assessments, delivering interventions, using outcome measures and taking on tasks that will be linked with service improvement initiatives. There is opportunity to get involved with delivery of training and the post holders will be supported to attend relevant CPD to the post.
1. To support the psychological professionals within the team to undertake psychological assessments.2. To attend and contribute to appropriate multi-disciplinary meetings.3. To assist in gathering information for and to contribute to development of a formulation for service users.
