Wychbury Medical Group are looking to recruit a Medical Receptionist to work 23.25 hours per week at our Wychbury Medical Centre in Wollescote, Stourbridge. Hours will be:

- Monday 1.30pm - 6.30pm
- Tuesday 8.00am - 1.00pm
- Wednesday 7.45am - 1.00pm
- Thursday 11.30am - 8.00pm (with 30 min unpaid lunch)

You must also be flexible to provide cover across the week for any annual leave and sickness.

The post holder will greet patients on entry to the practice and provide a point of communication between patients, doctors and other medical staff.

Duties will involve:

- Answering telephone calls, booking appointments and taking messages as required
- Dealing with all patient/visitor enquiries
- Using appointment systems to book appointments and recalls
- Explaining practice arrangements to new and temporary patients
- Ensuring consulting rooms and waiting areas are prepared and kept tidy each day
- Maintaining strict confidentiality at all times

Skills/abilities required:

- Excellent customer service skills
- Good standard of general education
- Strong communication skills both oral and written
- I.T. Literate
- Excellent organisation skills
- Flexible and adaptable
- Well motivated
- Previous work experience in a similar environment would be desirable

A DBS check will be requested for the successful applicant.
