Our Essential Customer Due Diligence Team?

The key purpose of Customer Due Diligence / KYC Team Leader is to provide support and oversight to the CDD Team, promoting a healthy culture and efficient processes which allow the team to effectively investigate, review and capture fraud, finance threats, organised crime, money laundering and Politically Exposed Persons / Special Interest Persons.

This role will be based in our Reading office however, you will be able to work a blend of both home and office each week. You’ll be made to feel part of your new team by your Line Manager, and colleagues through regular contact and virtual interaction.

What would your day look like?

Proactively engage with key stakeholders, including the Financial Crime/Financial Crime Risk Oversight team to improve, scale and further develop the KYC framework and its standards within the Asset Finance business line.

Processing policy escalation requests from CDD onboarding to ongoing due diligence and providing practical policy advice and guidance to the CDD team, first line colleagues and senior managers.

Providing training materials to the CDD team and providing training to first line functions and the wider broker community.

Supporting the FCRO team by transforming KYC regulatory changes into new processes, whilst also ensuring all stakeholders are informed of the impacts and potential challenges.

Creation and management of the business lines Standard Operating Procedures.

Careful management with the FCRO team and senior managers of the banks commercial appetite against the policy/regulatory framework in the bank.

Overseeing and managing the Quality Assurance checks for CDD and OCDD.

Creating, managing, and developing key CDD information in Excel.

Presenting CDD statistics and Fraud data to the wider AF community.

What do we expect of you?

Experience managing an Operations based team, preferably within CDD/KYC/Financial Crime or Underwriting.

Experience working within Financial Services

Knowledge of Asset finance is not essential but very beneficial
