Join our close-knit team at Oxford House Veterinary Clinic - a proudly independent, family-run practice in the heart of Tonypandy. **About the Role**
As one of the first faces our clients see, your role as a receptionist is pivotal to the smooth running of the practice. You’ll work alongside our Head Receptionist to provide a welcoming and professional front-of-house experience, while supporting the clinical team behind the scenes.
We’re looking for someone with a strong background in veterinary reception work - someone who understands the unique demands of this role and who takes pride in offering calm, capable and compassionate service in a busy environment.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Warmly welcoming clients and their pets in person, by phone, and online
- Managing bookings, payments, and administrative tasks with accuracy and care
- Coordinating communication between clients and clinical staff
- Supporting insurance claims, maintaining GDPR compliance, and handling sensitive information
- Keeping reception and consulting rooms tidy and well-stocked
- Assisting the clinical team as needed with practical, hands-on support
**What We’re Looking For**
- A minimum of **2 years’ experience in a veterinary receptionist role**:
- Confident computer literacy and comfort with veterinary software systems
- Strong interpersonal skills and a calm, empathetic manner
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- A mature, professional outlook and a desire to be part of a small, stable team
