Due to expansion of the Team to provide for the new Community Stroke Service, we have an exciting opportunity for Therapy Practitioners to join us in improving the stroke patients care and rehabilitation.
The Community Neurological Rehabilitation Teams, covering the South and West areas of West Sussex, are based in Worthing and Chichester.
We are very excited to be rolling out early intervention for stroke patients. You will work alongside other rehabilitation technicians either on your own or as part of the team in order to provide support and therapy interventions under the guidance of registered staff to people who have had a stroke. This will involve dealing with people with complex health and emotional needs who have often undergone life changing events which will also have a profound impact upon their families/carers lives.
Primarily this role will focus on assisting the physiotherapists and occupational therapists in the team. You will also be expected to assist other therapists if patients are receiving a multi-disciplinary approach. This is an interesting, challenging and rewarding role.
The post is for 37.5 hours per week. Part time and flexible working patterns will be considered.
