Our technology helps drive operational efficiency, promote employee engagement and foster wellbeing by providing data and insights that help businesses achieve their CSR and ESG (environmental, social, governance) objectives.

Because the platform is public it enables a business to surface community stories and create a discoverable legacy of giving, helping to enhance brand reputation and build positive community relations.

We currently manage surplus food redistribution schemes for 5 major UK retailers and food manufacturers, helping to ensure good food goes to community causes that can use and share it effectively

What you’ll be doing as our Product Owner

The Product Owner is a pivotal role for organisations to formalise product and technology delivery, while ensuring that customer needs are central to priorities. Product Owners sit in the middle of the customer and the business and ensure that the needs of all stakeholder groups are listened to, understood and represented in the products.

Neighbourly is at an exciting point right now, with new investment and confidence in its ability to grow both the business and the product set. Defining the product, driving efficiency, focus and value in the agile teams, and reflecting that back to the business, is the Product Owner, with the support of the Head of Product (who you’ll be reporting in to).

**Responsibilities**:
Being the voice of the customer
Ensure needs and wants are expressed as customer outcomes
Prioritise work based on evidence of customer benefits
Represent the end user in all scoping and requirement meetings
Creating stories and work items
Detailing needs, context, acceptance criteria and outcomes
Refining and prioritising the backlog with available work
Ensuring the agile team have a clear understanding of outcomes and priority
Stakeholder management
Work with internal and external stakeholders to understand needs
Represent the product to stakeholders, customers and users
Guide stakeholders on product value, to help questions and solve problems
Agile Team management
Be a leader of, but also part of, the agile delivery team
Direct and guide work priorities, but do not dictate solutions
Protect team from distraction, offer support and report on results
Strategy and Vision
Work with Head of Product and BLT to establish the product vision
Contribute to, and be an owner and communicator of, the product roadmap
Analyse performance, set goals, KPIs and OKRs and challenge results
Competitor Analysis
Stay abreast of competitor products, feature sets, and releases
Work with Head of Product on analysis and priority models to compete
Update and communicate competitive market records and documents

What experience you’ll need

Previous experience in Product Management, whether that's as a Product Manager or Product Owner would be ideal. If not, then experience gained within a tech role (Developer, Tester), delivery (Project Manager, Delivery Manager) and analysis (Business Analyst) we'd also love to hear from you.
We’ll looking for somebody that has gained their product experience working in scrum/ Kanban/ agile development environments.
Excellent listening and communication skills, particularly to non-technical audiences.
An understanding of agile methodologies and implementation.
Experience in defining minimum marketable/viable features.
Strategic and visionary thinking, with an outcomes mindset.
Analytical and problem solving skills.
Experience of working well within cross-functional teams i.e. development, UX, marketing and customer success.
