**Job description - Youth Leader**

The Amber Foundation offers supported accommodation to homeless, unemployed and disadvantaged young people (aged 16 to 30) who are facing multiple disadvantage including lack of training, education and employment, addiction and substance misuse problems, mental health difficulties and may have been involved in crime and offending behaviour.

We deliver a full-time and residential employability and well-being programme delivered in groups of 8 to 10 young people designed to support them into independent accommodation and employment, training or education by the end of their stay.

The role of the Youth Leader is to manage a caseload and team of 8 to 10 young people and to deliver a programme of group workshops and activity both internally and with external services and providers each week that centres around our four key outcome areas as follows:

- Education, training and employment activities
- Health and wellbeing activities
- Independent living activities
- Having fun and engaging with communities

The Youth Leader is also responsible for carrying out monthly one-to-one sessions with their young people and action planning with them to ensure that both their support needs are met and their hopes, aspirations and ambitions for the future are also captured.

Responsible to - **Senior Team Leader and Centre Manager**

Hours of Work - **Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.30pm + one overnight shift per month**

Salary - **£24,675.00 per annum**
