**Transport Manager, Essex, £40,000 - £45,000 + Benefits**

Are you an experienced Transport Manager with a CPC? If so, we want to hear from you

We are recruiting for a growing family-owned business in Essex who is looking to recruit an established Transport professional to head up their team which covers driver management, transport planning and fleet/ compliance admin.

You will work Monday - Friday, typically starting around 6:30/7am.

**What you'll be doing**
- Day to day management and leadership of a small Transport & Customer Service function, consisting of Drivers, Planners & Administrators
- Ensure the team adheres to health & safety and compliance standards at all times
- Management of the company O License including vehicle legislation, driver legislation (tacho management, defect reporting etc)
- Drive functional KPI's and report to senior leadership team
- Overseeing business route planning and updating TMS

**What are we looking for?**
- Ideally you'll be an experienced Transport Manager, with a proven record operating in a busy transport environment
- As you will manage the company O License it is essential for this role that you have a CPC
- Experience using TMS in previous roles would be advantageous
- A background or understanding of operating in an SME or family-owned business would be beneficial but is not essential
