**We have an opportunity for an International Patient Liaison Officer to join their team of staff in the Marketing department.**

**This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.**

**Applicants should meet the following criteria**:

- Educated to degree level or evidence of equivalent level of ability/ NHS experience
- ECDL qualification or equivalent qualification/experience - able to set up spreadsheets and documents as well as input data onto pre-prepared spreadsheets and word documents
- Well-presented professional appearance and manner
- Highly organised approach and ability to prioritise your own work as well as others.
- Work under pressure and proactively manage a busy workload

**Duties of this role include**:

- The post holder will be responsible to provide assistance to the international patient
- The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the provision of an excellent standard of customer service to the international patient and the hospital colleagues
- To provide a full Arabic interpreting services both oral and written including cultural support to the international patient and their families with a demanding environment.
- The role involves complex medical interpreting including sensitive interpretation of terminal conditions direct to the patient and their families
