**About the Role**

Trafford’s Tree Unit Department offers a high-quality front-line service within Trafford. The service manages all council owned trees on the highway and in parks and open spaces.

We require a full time Tree Officer to undertake tree inspections, surveys and reports of the council’s tree stock situated on the highway, in parks, open spaces and schools throughout the borough.

You will also be expected to deal with all tree related enquires from members of the public, Councillors and internal colleagues.

You will be required to work on your own initiative planning your day to maximize your time inspecting council owned trees.

You will keep up to date with the relevant regulations, policy and legislation relating to all tree related matters.

You will need a Level 4 qualification or a combination of formal off the job training plus 2 years’ experience in a similar environment_ _

**Additional Information**

Flexibility may be required to work outside core hours as the office is open from 7.30am until 4.30 pm.

You will have flexibility in terms of hybrid working at home and in the office.

You will need a full driving license and your own vehicle as you will be required to drive in this role.
