**The role**:

- To ensure full compliance with all Statutory Legislative requirements and to ensure all regulations are met and complied with at all times on site
- To ensure that the quality of works meets the customers’ standards and requirements
- To carry out instructions as laid down in the Task Instruction Sheets and the Operations Manual
- To set up site in accordance with Chapter 8 of NRSWA Street Works Code of Practice
- To ensure all Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to
- To ensure all materials and components are transported to/from site safely and securely without damage
- To carry out excavations for passing electrical conductors to enable connection to theses conductors & install cable ducting systems to client specifications
- To carry out cable jointing activities
- To ensure that whilst carrying out works in both a DEAD and LIVE environment that he/she is working in compliance with operational procedures and the distribution safety rules of the host DNO or IDNO
- To ensure that a safe working environment is maintained at all times
- To ensure that the Authorised Persons instructions are complied with at all times
- Hours of work are 07.30 and 17.00 Monday to Friday

**The person**:

- Previous experience in a LV Cable Jointer role, including ICP/DNO/Utilities digging
- LV joints mains & transfer and up to date trade test
- Excellent health & safety knowledge and awareness
- Good literacy skills
- Fusing & linking; sub-station entry ticket, signal injection - all preferable
- Able to work as part of a small team
- Flexible to travel across Kent & London
