**About The Role**:
HCR has experienced a huge period of growth in the last 2 years. Our teams have gone from strength to strength and we now have 10 offices and over 800 staff from Birmingham down to London.

We need a strong, credible HR Advisor to partner with teams across the firm to build strong working relationships and support managers and Partners with key people matters. Reporting to the Business Partner, this is a true generalist operational role. You will be a confident and credible advisor working on employee relations matters at all levels and able to manage cases through to completion. You will also be happy to roll up your sleeves and get involved in projects and operational work as may be needed.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Working closely with managers on bringing employee relations matters to a positive conclusion, including:

- Disciplinary
- Grievances
- Performance Management
- Sickness absence and Occupational Health
- Be the first point of contact for managers to advise on people matters.
- Managing changes to terms and conditions of employment and ensuring timely communication to the operations and payroll team.
- Conduct exit interviews, providing insight to the business and feedback to line managers
- Maintaining employee data within the HR System, to ensure the highest level of data integrity - running reports as necessary using Cascade.
- Working with the team to support the continuous improvement of key employee lifecycle processes.
- Support with the maintenance and development of the People team sharepoint pages - ensuring that annual policy reviews take place as required.
- Support the operations team with recruitment administration and onboarding
- Support the HR Business Partner with the management of Consultants / IR35 audits in line with the firm’s compliance policies.

**The person**:

- A confident and credible HR Advisor looking to take their next step in a fast paced and challenging environment.
- Proven experience of working in a busy HR role supporting multiple activities and dealing with a wide variety of internal/external customers.
- Sound working knowledge of employment law
- Ability to work in a remote capacity and under own direction - you can think one step ahead and think on your feet.
- Confident to challenge and push back where necessary
- Experience of the Performance Management Cycle including disciplinary, capability and grievance processes.
- Knowledge and experience of HR software including HR Databases, employee’s self-service portals, etc.
- Strong IT skills, comfortable with excel
- Self-starter, well organised and able to prioritise effectively in order to maintain high service level standards and efficiency.
- Flexible, co-operative and supportive team player.
- Approachable and supportive manner, with strong customer service skills
- Ability to deal with a wide range of people and establish effective working relationships with staff and managers.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy even when under pressure.
- A strong commercial mindset - you’ll take a pragmatic approach to your work.
- Has driving license and own vehicle to be able to reach other offices.
