**The main purpose of the role is to assist, generally as part of a team, in Installing, maintaining, and removing temporary traffic management to facilitate the successful delivery of work activities on the network.**
**The Role**
***
- **Work as part of the highway maintenance operational team.**:
- **Install, maintain, and remove temporary traffic management such as deploying cones, signs, frames, sandbags, and other equipment on low-speed roads.**:
- **Install, maintain, and remove temporary traffic signals including, two-way traffic control, up to multi-phase traffic control. Ensuring the units are installed correctly and that batteries are fully charged.**:
- **Collect traffic management from sites once projects have been completed.**:
- **Manage checklists to ensure equipment and systems are fit for use and fully operational prior to delivery.**:
- **Ensure any lost, stolen, or damaged items are documented and reported.**

**About You**
***
- **Previous experience of delivering highway maintenance traffic management on site.**:
- **A current, valid driving licence is essential, with LGV class 2 as desirable.**:
- **Able to carry out basic safety, quality and environmental audits and risk assessments**:
- **Able to take responsibility for traffic management, 12 A/B Traffic Management essential with the relevant NHSS 12 training.**:
- **A good understanding of health and safety and its impact on the workplace.**:
- **Basic IT skills for the use of handheld technology (Tablets, PDAs, Smartphones, etc) would be advantageous but not essential.**:
- **Valid CSCS card desirable.**
