**Job Purpose**:
Caterpillar’s Peterlee UK location is currently hiring an **EHS Senior Associate**. In this role you will be part of the Environmental, Health, Safety and Security (EHSS) Team. You will manage one student placement who will support the team on a rolling 12-month basis. The role will be focused on systems and assurance that support and enhance the Caterpillar facility’s EHSS performance and compliance.

**Job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to**:

- Support the development of short and long term EHSS strategies including governance of deliverables.
- Management of the EHSS management systems to align to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
- Compile, review and submit corporate metrics.
- Facilitate Senior Leadership engagement and assurance activity such as EHSS Management Reviews.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to embed EHSS considerations into operations and risk management strategies.
- Plan and undertake assurance audits.
- Management of corrective and preventative actions.
- Management and governance of contracts such as Industrial Hygiene.

**Essential Qualifications**:

- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent

**Desirable Qualifications**:

- Degree in an EHS related field.
- NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate or equivalent
- Lead Investigator Training
- Lead Auditor Qualification
