As Assistant Director of Business Intelligence and Briefing, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic Regional Delivery Unit (RDU) team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the Midlands Region to provide the support and expertise to help ICBs and NHS England facilitate systems to deliver their plans.

**The post holder will be responsible for**:

- Overall leadership and strategic direction of the establishment, development, and effective operation of the team.
- Setting the operational agenda for the team, ensuring its function and activities evolve with the needs of the regional team.
- Upward reporting to the Deputy Director and attendance at key governance meetings (where required), deputising for the Deputy Director where required.

**Main Duties cont**:

- Reviewing and signing off team deliverables prior to onward distribution, and quality assuring output from the team.
- Engaging frequently with stakeholders, ensuring the work of the team constantly evolves to meet current circumstances and demands.
- Overall line management of other members of the team
- Manage the relationship with senior stakeholders across the Midlands systems and other partners.
- Engage at senior levels to resolve the most difficult issues and problems which arise with delivery.
- Provide senior connection and liaison with other NHS England interrelated programmes.
- Provide representation on governance forums which preside over the delivery of transformation.
- Ensure that the team is responsive to the needs of its customers and that work produced is of a high standard, timely and uses up to date robust evidence.
- Work across Arm’s Length Bodies

Salary Progression
Applicants will commence at the bottom of Band 8d with a full-time starting salary of £83,571 with a pay step increase after 5 years’ service.

This is offered in accordance with NHS Terms and Conditions and is based on office location.
