Acorn is seeking an experienced Water Hygiene Technician. This is a full-time, permanent position, and the salary for this position is £22k-£28k + company vehicle or vehicle allowance.
Overtime shifts offered:

- Evenings and Weekends, £150
- Sundays, £175

**Tasks**:

- Complete onsite checks and inspections as per ACoP L8 & HSG 274 Part 2 Guidance
- Temperature monitoring, routine sampling, and analysing water systems
- Showerhead cleans and descales
- Cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold-water systems and cooling towers.
- CWST inspections
- Undertake TMV failsafe checks
- Undertake Potable and Legionella water samples in various suites
- Complete analysis of closed systems and dosing of closed systems
Essential Skills and Qualifications:

- Minimum 1 year experience of water systems
- Experience in a customer facing role
- 21 years of age or over (company insurance stipulates)
- Full UK driving license
- Basic IT skills (able to use phone/tablet to record information, take photos etc.)
- Attention to detail
- Competent in working independently
- Flexible
- Organised - can manage their own paperwork and expenses
- Cleaning and Disinfection qualification
- Thermostatic Mixing Valves qualification
- Temperature Monitoring and Sampling qualification
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

- Plumbing or Water Hygiene qualifications
- Health and Safety Training i.e., Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness, COSHH Awareness
- Water Softener qualification/s
- Experience of Closed Systems
- Closed System qualification/s
- Enhanced DBS check completed in the last 2 years
- Ability to account-manage and build long-standing client relationships
- WMS Pathways qualification
