**Purpose of the Role**:
You will be part of a large team of skilled machinists working at pace to deliver precision engineered metallics, driving performance on track throughout the season. During the build season you will be responsible for setting and operating multi-axis machines to produce complex parts with diligence, playing your part in the demanding task of building a new race car. You will become qualified and use your newly development knowledge and skills on CNC machining centres to manufacture car components, pit equipment and parts for our Heritage cars. **Principal Accountabilities**:
- Quickly integrate into the team, embracing our values and behaviours
- Learn and develop key knowledge and skills in the basics of milling, turning, and hand finishing for the first 12 months
- Enhance skills allied to the various aspects of CNC machining through the setting and operation of our Mazak, Mikron, Matsuura and DN Solution machine tools
- Become fluent in reading engineering drawings, standards and documentation associated with the manufacture of highly complex components
- Learn and develop knowledge associated with the various aspects of Manufacturing Engineering including fixture design and cutting tool selection
- Maintain a logbook and ensure all academic work is up to date for monthly reviews
- Responsible for the cleanliness and housekeeping in the workplace To learn, understand and implement health and safety legislation as it applies in the workplace
**Knowledge, Skills, and Experience**:
- Level 2 Engineering Qualification or similar
- 5 GCSE qualifications of grade 4 / C or above, to include maths, English, and Science
- Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
- Has participated in a team-orientated environment
- Basic knowledge of machining would be advantageous Basic knowledge of manufacturing systems would be advantageous
