**JOB PURPOSE**

We are seeking an experienced Lead Tester to join our team. The Lead Tester will work alongside the programme team to facilitate test execution appropriate to a range of projects. The Lead Tester will be expected to coordinate with the business, incoming/ & incumbent suppliers on the execution of test plans, defect management and resolution, AIS pre-requisites as well as post implementation support. A Lead Tester will serve a pivotal role in Infrastructure testing required across multiple streams of infrastructure project.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans:

- Develop test plans based on project requirements and functional specifications.
- Execute test cases to ensure compliance with functional and non-functional requirements and identify defects.
- Report and track defects, and retest after fixes are made.
- Collaborate with the technical delivery and other teams:

- Work closely with the technical delivery team to understand project requirements and identify areas for testing.
- Collaborate with other teams, such as business analysts, project managers and third-party suppliers to ensure testing is integrated into the project plan.
- Design and execute manual and automated test cases:

- Develop and execute manual test cases.
- Create and maintain automated test scripts to increase testing efficiency and reduce human error.
- Perform regression testing to ensure that changes to the system do not affect existing functionality.
- Analyse test results and communicate with stakeholders:

- Analyse test results and communicate findings to the project team.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on testing progress and any issues identified.
- Advise on remedial actions required to address any defects identified during testing.
- Perform and facilitate UAT, system and integration testing:

- Conduct UAT, system and integration testing to ensure that different system components work together effectively.
- Ensure that end-to-end testing is conducted to simulate real-world scenarios.
- Maintain and update test documentation:

- Create and maintain testing documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Ensure that test documentation is up-to-date and accurate.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes:

- Identify areas for improvement in the testing process and provide suggestions for improvement.
- Participate in process reviews to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of testing.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices:

- Stay current with the latest testing trends and best practices.
- Attend training sessions and conferences to develop skills and knowledge.
- Ensure compliance with testing standards and procedures:

- Ensure that testing is conducted in compliance with relevant standards and procedures.
- Ensure that testing follows established company policies and procedures.
- Conduct exploratory testing:

- Conduct exploratory testing to identify defects that may not be captured through other testing methods.
- Provide feedback on usability and other user experience issues that may impact system functionality.

**ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS**

To succeed in this role, you will have extensive experience in large scale project and programme delivery, demonstrate the ability to multi-task, influence behaviours of our delivery teams ensuring teams are adhering to Standardised governance principles.
- Minimum 5+ years functional and non-functional test experience of on-prem and cloud infrastructure.
- Advanced interpersonal skills.
- ISTQB qualification
- A technical background with knowledge spanning domains such as servers, storage, end user compute, Networks (TCP/ IP), WIFI, security/ firewalls, active directory.
- Hands-on experience creating and executing functional test scripts
- Hands-on experience creating and executing non-functional test cases
- Previous experience with test execution support on a cloud migration and/or data centre relocation project
- Knowledge of defect management process
- Previous experience of creating test plans and test completion reports
- Previous experience coordinating and supporting business areas with acceptance testing
- Previous experience of disaster recovery test planning and execution.
- Previous hands-on experience with Atlassian ( Jira & Confluence), Azure DevOps tool for test management.

**DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE & SKILLS**
- The Lead Tester will ensure that ITSM Projects are thoroughly tested to meet the requirements and expectations of end-users and stakeholders.
