**The Role**
Due to continuous success here at Fortem, we are currently recruiting for aKitchen Fitter to join our Orbit Housing planned works (Kitchen and Bathrooms team) You will be predominately based in Rubery, South Birmingham B45 and surrounding areas. Core Hours are Monday to Friday 8.00am-4:30pm. As a Kitchen Fitter you will be ensuring all work is undertaken to a high standard with the minimum of supervision. The Kitchen Fitter takes ownership of work, aiming for successful turnarounds times, operating within the company Health and Safety guidelines, and remaining within budget and time parameters, whilst being courteous and professional on site.
**The Customer**
Fortem’s contract with Orbit Housing covers over 17,000 properties across Stratford-upon-Avon, Leamington Spa, Coventry, Nuneaton, Northampton, Milton Keynes and Bedford. We have multiple workstreams, including Repairs & Maintenance, Voids, Capital Works and Re-Roofing Plus Birmingham City Council planned works in the Rubery South Birmingham area. **Duties and Responsbilities**
Completing Full rip and refit of new kitchens for properties as per the specification, whilst working in a timely and productive manner with specific turnaround deadlines. Working on the Planned works team covering all Kitchen and Bathroom refits Advising Supervisor in a timely manner when other trades are required Working in partnership with other operatives to complete projects. Recording and submitting accurate data using relevant business systems electronic devices Affording excellent customer service to client representatives Arranging purchase of materials required to deliver the works in a planned and efficient manner Comply with safeguarding policy and H&S standards at all times Operating within the company’s occupational road risk policies and procedures Using a PDA smart phone to correspond daily with colleagues to update progress and completion information for your allocated work
**What you will need**
The Kitchen Fitter will meet the following requirements: Essential Criteria NVQ/qualifications in relation to relevant trade (Carpentry or Plumbing) or qualified by experience in a similar role will be considered Full UK driving licence (max 5 points) Desirable Criteria Social housing experience
