Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our team. As a Restaurant Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing some of the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. On some shifts another manager will have overall responsibility and you will be involved in serving customers, barista work, washing up, checking the right meals are going to the right tables

**Duties**:

- Setting up the restaurant in the morning and ensuring everything is in place for the smooth running of the operation
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and hygienic environment
- Train and develop staff members to provide exceptional customer service
- Closing the restaurant

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a hotel, restaurant or cafe setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team
- Some knowledge of food production processes, food preparation techniques, and culinary trends
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers, staff members, and suppliers
- Barista and / or bar experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

About Us

We are located on Cathedral Green and open from 9am to 5pm Sunday to Wednesday, 9am to 6pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday and do not work split-shifts or evenings.

It is a fun, friendly and industrious working environment.

We have a large outside seating area, so much of the work is outside.

Our quality of food and standard of service is high, and our reputation as a fine restaurant is growing.

We will work with you to enable you to provide consistently professional service whilst still using your individual flair.

We do not operate like a chain restaurant.

Typical shifts are 8-4, 9-5, 9-close, 11-close, five out of seven days. We are usually finished by 6.30pm

Training will be given to enable you to work to our methods, but you must bring experience with you.

Pay is weekly. We provide free food and drink whilst on duty, and paid breaks.

Tips are shared fairly according to how many hours are worked.

Pay is negotiable. Supervisory and/or barista experience would be useful.

You must be available to work any of the shifts shown above and, although we run a flexible rota, you must be available on weekends, bank holidays, school holidays and Christmas and New year. (We do not open on Christmas Day) This is a full time position.

Pay: £27,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
