**About The Service**
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to join our First Point of Contact Hospital discharge service, within Independent Living Services, as an accommodation solutions officer.
**About the job**
Independent Living Services (ILS) support vulnerable adults to live independently at home and connected to their communities, through tailored information, advice, and support - enabling people to take control of their own lives. As an accommodations solutions officer, you will be responsible for collaboratively working with our local authority, health, and 3rd sectors partners to facilitate timely and safe discharges, through housing and community-based solutions.
**What We Are Looking For From You**
You will need to have experience of working with, or understanding the needs of vulnerable adults, have an understanding and experience of income assessment, and benefit maximisation. As well as a good knowledge, understanding and experience in the housing sector. You will need to be an excellent communicator with the ability to listen, act and inform. You will need to form partnerships with internal and external services and organisations. You will spend the majority of your time interacting with customers and responding to their requests and queries. You will usually work in an environment where you are face to face with your client using your strong communication, decision making and analytical skills to ensure the delivery of a timely and responsive customer experience.
