As a Java Developer you will have daily involvement in cutting code, but will be a key member of the Java team and be involved in task planning for the team.You will be working under the umbrella of the architecture team which will provide great learning opportunities.
**Main Responsibilities**:

- Working as part of a team to deliver operable Java projects into test and deployment
- Following the strategy and best practices of the group
- Produce and maintain documentation on developed components
- Development of component code
- Provide adequate test coverage for developed components
- Follow the strategy and best practices of the group
- Engage in project planning and estimation meetings

**Technical skills**:

- Core Java
- Multithreading experience
- Spring & Spring MVC
- REST web services
- JMS
- C++

**Recommended Experience**:

- Over 18 months serious development work in a team of developers
- Extensive experience of complete software lifecycle
- Experience and knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Distributed environment experience
- C++ experience a distinct bonus
