We currently have a number of opportunities for a Warehouse Operatives in our Burnley Distribution Centre. Our Warehouse Operatives play a key role in our supply chain process, making sure the right stock gets to the right store on time and in full. The purpose of this role is to effectively work within the warehouse function on distribution, transport, backhaul, front haul etc.
**Working hours and shift patterns**:
Rotating shift patterns 6am-2pm and 2pm -10pm on a contract of 37.5 hours per week.
**What we are looking for**:
- A hardworking team player
- Good communication (verbal and written)
- Good numeracy skills
**Preferable experience (although full training will be provided)**:
- Understanding of a warehouse operation and environment
- Red Prairie WMS knowledge
- RDT use (Hand-held scanner)
**Responsibilities**:
- Work effectively as part of the warehouse team and in line with the Company values. Work across any required department within the warehouse to meet the picking, packing and distribution timescales required by the business - on time, every time.
- Perform any other reasonable duties required from warehouse team leader or manager within
the business - willing to go the extra mile.
- Ensure that stock is prepared and packed in such a way that makes it easy for our hubs and
stores to handle safely and easily - giving our customers more than they expect.
- Work to the current operating procedures in place across the warehouse
- Share with the appropriate manager(s) new ideas or suggestions for how we can ‘simplify
everything brilliantly’
- Use required equipment and/or machinery in line with Health and Safety requirements and
only once you are fully trained and (where required) licensed to do so.
- Ensure the warehouse environment is clean, tidy and well maintained making management
aware of any identified health and safety risks at the earliest opportunity.
- Ensure that stock loss (including damage to product), is kept to an absolute minimum following
company stock loss procedures at all times
