**The Opportunity**:
As a HR Advisor for Swansway you will play a significant role in contributing to the success of the HR function. The HR Advisor will be required to provide a wide range of support to our dealerships often working in the field. The HR Advisor will act as the first point of contact for managers regarding all HR issues, manage complex projects and be effective in proactively managing and prioritising their own workload and tasks.

This role gives a unique opportunity to really make your mark on the HR team at Swansway. Working within a small team we enjoy colleagues that have a strong work ethic and that are happy to challenge and suggest improvements and better ways of working.

**More about the role**:

- Manage and coach managers on ER cases including; absence, flexible working, grievances and disciplinaries.
- Note taking during employee hearings.
- Manage Occupation Health referrals.
- Taking responsibility for the HR specific intranet pages.
- Manage formal performance management cases and actively coach managers to handle performance cases.
- Monitoring Sales Leagues and supporting with interventions and further training.
- Support the training team with development and delivery of inductions and other HR initiatives.
- Frontline support of HR queries.

**More about you**:

- Previous HR experience at an Advisor level.
- CIPD Qualified or working towards.
- Experience of working with HR systems.
- Experience of managing employee relations cases.
- Proactive approach to work with effective planning and prioritising of workload.
- Working knowledge of employee relations and employment law.
- Commercially astute.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Demonstrates tact and diplomacy with a confidential and professional approach.

**A bit more about the family**:
Founded in 2003 by Michael Smyth and his three sons, David, Peter and John, Swansway has grown from five motor dealerships in Cheshire and the West Midlands to the 20 dealerships we have today. From Birmingham in the South to Carlisle in the North we partner with eleven brands including; Audi, Volkswagen, Land Rover, Honda and many more.

We’re expanding our own-brand, Motor Match our used sites, and we don’t stop at dealerships; we operate four Volkswagen Group Trade Part Centres, an Accident Repair Centre, a Group Fleet Sales Centre and an eBay shop re-cycling obsolete parts. All this is supported by our Head Office in Crewe.
