The RNLI College in Poole is looking for a full-time Hotel Reception Supervisor to join our established team. Your focus is to oversee the smooth running of the hotel primarily in the front office. You will be the face of the RNLI to welcome our guests and assist with queries as they arise. Ideally you will have a good working knowledge of the Opera software and an understanding of reservations.

**Hours**:37.5 hours per week
**Salary**: £11.30 per hour (£22,094 per year)

Variable 8 hour shifts to include Early & Lates, Evening & Weekends. Early shifts start at 7am, lates finishes at 10pm.

Opera experience is essential.

**What we are looking for**

A well-presented professional person who leads by example and takes pride in their appearance. We are the first point of contact for the RNLI and aim to deliver a 10 out of 10 on first impressions. We are looking for someone who can be an ambassador for the organisation and who can deliver excellent customer service.

**The Role**:
The role of reception supervisor is to assist the Reception Manager in managing the reception team by being a first point of contact. Management experience is essential for this role.

**Main Duties**:

- Carry out daily reception duties when required.
- Lead & manage the reception team.
- Staff reviews.
- Managing the rota.
- Training & mentoring new team members.
- Active role in supporting the Reception Manager in recruiting for reception.
- Support the Reception Manager with daily workload.
- Managing invoices for our Sales/Events team.
- Maintaining accurate files & records of Events invoices and receipts.
- Managing Room rates through Opera in the Reception Managers absence.
- Managing the availability on third party booking engines.
- Liaising with other internal departments. Ie. Housekeeping, porters etc.
- Using the Opera configuration to make amendments to rate codes/packages where needed for events.
- Cash handling on reception and daily banking of takings.
