The role

Clock House Farm is a family run business that was established in 1903, and is one of the leading soft and top fruit growers in the UK. We are looking for an experienced payroll manager to join our busy, small and friendly team. It is a key role in the business,dealing with full time and seasonal workers, running both monthly and weekly payroll peaking at 800 staff during the harvest season.

Key responsibilities
- Run end to end weekly & Monthly payrolls and all associated work tasks
- Head up the management of Crop Picker a produce specific industry program recording harvest and work details across all fields
- Look at new ways of improving current systems and ways of working
- HR and its associated work streams
- Key accounts wage journals
- Communicate rent deductions
- Attend to HMRC Notices as informed by HMRC
- Keep records and reconcile PAYE/NI with HMRC and report disputes if figures do not agree with HMRC
- Mange staff pensions and associated tasks
- Prepare & present necessary information for Audits (SMETA)
- Run analytics and reporting where necessary
- Complete and submit monthly wages and salaries survey - Office for National Statistics
- Assist staff with payroll queries
- Proactively work with your assistant to manage workload department workload

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:

- Proficient using offices packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc)
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- CIPP qualified (CIPD beneficial)
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to problem solve
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude
