We're looking for a
**Head of Pricing** to join the Pricing Management team on a 12 month fixed term contract.

**Here's what you'll be doing**:

- at Simply Business we have spent considerable time and effort on making our pricing function industry
- leading.
- you will lead the Pricing Team, building upon and extending the existing pricing infrastructure so that leading edge pricing practices are implemented throughout our business
- this role bridges management and practical elements, so you’ll be working closely with a cross
- section of the business in analysing and implementing changes - but also communicating results and creating a vision for pricing going forward

**We're looking for someone who is**:

- experienced in price optimisation, regression analysis, and machine learning and understands how these techniques can be applied to the economics of an online business
- comfortable dealing with complex data and identifying what is important, what could be wrong, and getting solutions into place quickly
- confident in decision making and drives commercial value, rather than just technical development
- a self-starter with a passion for data and has excellent attention to detail
- highly curious, intellectually agile, and statistically fluent.a great people leader with demonstrated success in team building, mentoring, coaching, and performance management
- an excellent communicator with both written and verbal skills and is experienced in interacting professionally with a diverse group of staff and senior management
- proven to have a track record of building relationships with key stakeholders at a senior level

**A few more details about the role**:

- you will continue the implementation of a pricing strategy that balances the optimisation of a multi-year, multi-provider panel, with the longer-term company strategy of building the best customer-focused financial services business.
- this will mean taking the insights from our best-in-class analytics infrastructure and combining them with external sources of data to deliver ‘optimal’ pricing recommendations.
- you will manage the Pricing Committee, regularly operating and influencing the most senior levels within the business.
- as a member of the Commercial Leadership Team, you’ll be involved in major decisions around commercial outcomes and strategy.
- you will be responsible for duties under the SMCR as a Certified Manager and will have ownership of the risk register for your area.
