**Library Service: Library Assistant**

£10.98 per hour, permanent 7 hours plus enhancements for weekends

**We are currently recruiting **

A **Library Assistant **to work at **Lancaster Library. **This is a permanent role, and you will work an average of 7 hours per week which will include some evenings and weekends, over a two-week rota (see attached rota)

**Your new role **

We are looking for an **enthusiastic **, **customer focussed **and **digitally savvy **individual to work within our team. Our ideal person will be **welcoming **and **friendly **, have a **love for reading **and be passionate about sharing this. You will have **excellent communication and digital skills **, be able to work with **a range of partners and volunteers **and be able to deliver a **customer focused service **.

Sometimes, you will need to work at other locations and the role may involve some lone working.
