**Maintenance Engineer**

**Location: Leek**

**Shifts: 4 on 4 off Days and Nights**

**Salary: £39,000 to £43,500 (Depending on experience)**

**KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY**
- To carry out planned preventative maintenance tasks in line with the schedule
- Follow up tasks from PPM and order any spare parts required.
- To ensure compliance to Health and safety/food safety standards at all times.
- To carry out dynamic risk assessments in line with your daily tasks.
- Maintain and improve standards of hygiene and housekeeping in all areas of the factory including the engineering office and workshop
- To ensure production lines are running in optimum condition.
- To undertake emergency breakdown repairs in a timely and efficient way on all production equipment ensuring correct documentation and reporting of follow up work is correctly completed.
- To assist in the installation of new equipment to the site.
- Use and maintenance of the Mainsaver CMMS system.
- Development and upskilling of Engineering apprentices and line operatives where applicable.
- Providing both Reactive & PPM
- Working on a Variety of Kit Including Conveyors, Multihead Weighers, Packaging Equipment & Metal detectors
- Ensuring that equipment is set up and ready for shift start
- Reporting of all activities including breakdown repair
- Reporting directly to the Shift Engineering Manager

**KEY REQUIREMENTS**
- Apprentice trained and relevant qualification in Engineering
- Base knowledge of food production lines/process machinery
- PC competent (Word/Excel)
- Experience in trouble shooting and fault-finding diagnostics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate team skills with a positive attitude and professional approach
- HNC or HND in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Multi-Skilled Engineering experience in an FMCG / Food / or other Manufacturing Environment
- PLC programming
- Continuous improvement & lean experience
