We have a new opportunity for a permanent full-time Dispersed Accommodation & Safe Havens Project officer working with our Harrogate Refuge Team, to grow IDAS’s Safe Haven hosting scheme, which is an innovative project providing emergency short-term accommodation with a host family to individuals and families who are fleeing domestic abuse or in need of respite.

To promote the Safe Haven scheme and support in the recruitment and training of host families in the future.

To match people with suitable host families in the Safe Haven scheme, based on an assessment of need and risk, and responding to any safeguarding concerns appropriately, in line with IDAS’ Policies and Procedures.

To receive and manage referrals for dispersed accommodation, and to provide housing support and intensive housing management for clients living in dispersed accommodation where necessary.

To grow IDAS’s dispersed accommodation offer and to maintain regular contact with landlords and clients whilst they are residing in dispersed accommodation.

To support to anyone needing short-term refuge to find suitable dispersed or Safe Haven accommodation.

To promote and maintain the smooth and efficient running of the projects.

Starting salary £32,654.00 full-time 37-hours
