**Café All-Rounder/Barista**
- Based in Streatham / Tulse Hill, London SW2 _
- Min. 20 hours a week/7 days (must be able to work Saturdays) with flexible additional hours available. Evenings may be required depending on the demands of the business_

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic all-rounder for a new neighbourhood-community café in a brand new development. This is a great opportunity for you to make your mark on this project, whilst making a difference to people’s lives.

This café is a social enterprise project run by a Lambeth based charity called Rathbone. The café will employ people with learning disabilities and train them for careers in the catering industry, as well as, operate as a fully commercial venture.

**Key Responsibilities**

You will work closely with the Chef and the Café Manager to come up with creative and innovative offers. As back of house, you will be expected to cook and prepare our menu, with the support of other staff.
- Working with trainees and students and their learning/support provider
- Fulfilling Front and Back of House duties, providing exceptional customer service
- Operating the coffee machine and kitchen equipment
- Update Social Media and Café website
- Prepare food and beverages
- To be responsible for the cleanliness and hygiene standards of the food service areas, ensuring all aspects of the Food Safety Act are maintained
- To attend regular team meetings and events with other members of the senior staff and other projects within the building
- To work within the values, policies and procedures of the Rathbone charity

**Requirements**:

- Full understanding / training in front of house operations
- Barista experience (additional training available)
- Basic food preparation (training will be provided if needed)
- Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- The ability to work with a number of different groups and project sharing the same building
- Strong communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Flexibility and willingness to undertake various tasks and projects

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £13.85 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
