Job Summary:
We are seeking a Facilities Assistant to join our team. The Facilities Assistant will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance and repair of our facilities. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.

**Duties**:

- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, repairing plumbing fixtures, and painting walls
- Conduct inspections of facilities to identify any maintenance or repair needs
- Assist with the installation and repair of electrical systems
- Maintain and repair HVAC systems
- Weld and fabricate metal components as needed
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment
- Assist with the supervision of contractors and vendors
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Familiarity with electrical systems and schematics
- Experience working with logic controllers is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

**Skills**:

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including proficiency in English
- Customer service-oriented mindset
- Leadership skills to supervise contractors and vendors

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract

**Salary**: £14.45-£16.50 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Maintenance: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Enhanced DBS (required)
