Poultry Farm Worker

Employment Partners are currently recruiting farm laborers for our client based in Burbage, Wiltshire, this is a temp-to-perm role with full-time hours.

Due to rural location, own transport is required.

Working hours: 7:00 - 16:00, 5 out of 7 (1 weekend day must be worked weekly)

Hourly rate: £9.75 (PAYE) or £11.02(PAYE incl. Holiday)

**Duties include but not exclusive to**:

- Working in poultry houses, i.e. walking the sheds, laying shavings, handling chickens etc.
- Looking after bird welfare including walking through the hens checking feeding and water systems, weighing birds, monitoring of bird welfare and behaviour, collection of floor eggs
- General maintenance and tidiness of the work area.
- Ensuring that Bio Security is maintained at all times, and to report any issues.

**The post holder will be**:

- A team player willing to take and give instruction.
- Reliable, responsible and hardworking
- Accurately managing shed records.
- This is a hands on role and requires good organisational and motivational skills.
- Flexible with working hours & a can do attitude
- Confident around hens
- Able to work alone as well as in a team
- Willing to learn with a can-do attitude

**Poultry farming experience is desirable but not necessary as on/off farm training can be provided**
