Scientific Management International designs, manufactures, supplies and installs bespoke pressure moulded cable harness systems, through-hull penetrators and pressure moulded connectors to a wide variety of industries operating in the most challenging and hostile environments on the planet. As a result of its world beating reputation for fit and forget performance, the Company is growing quickly. We are now looking for a Warehouse Operative, ideally from a manufacturing environment. **Primary Responsibilities**: - Accept goods or service on behalf of the company in an efficient manner. - Ensure that all goods received are checked for quality, quantity and that all relevant paperwork is available and correct. - Ensure that goods received/dispatched are entered onto MRP system in a timely and accurate manner. - Carry out all administrative duties as deemed necessary by the Goods In/Receiving function and all basic stock control requirements including stock rotation, bin maintenance, consumables, cycle counting and ensuring a safe working environment. - Undertake all kitting requirements for Work Orders and file related pick/sign-off sheets in their respective folders for audit purposes. - Ensure restocking of materials into production is timely and accurate. - Assembly of wooden flat-pack shipping crates as and when necessary. - Take part in regular stock take activities including cycle count control. - Operate the forklift truck as required. - Ensure that high standards of housekeeping are maintained using 5S techniques. - Support Production as identified. - Obsolete stock maintenance & Provision actions. - Complete any duties as deemed necessary. - Adhere to health and safety requirements. **About You**: - Experience as a Warehouse Operative ideally in a manufacturing environment - Experience of MRP systems an advantage - Working knowledge of MS Office and IT capability - Strong organisational and problem-solving skills - Good communicator - Proactive and demonstrates a positive attitude - Able to work within a Team environment - Attention to detail - "hands-on" approach - Drivers Licence essential **Salary**: £11.00-£12.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Company pension - Cycle to work scheme - Free parking - On-site parking - Referral programme Schedule: - Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
