**What you'll be doing** As a/an Manufacturing Manager, you will have the following accountabilities:

- Manage Project/ Product Managers to oversee the delivery of projects safely and to time, within budget; whilst overseeing the financial performance of these projects in the context of the overall factory, including appropriate risk management and mitigationto ensure that the financial targets are met and/ or exceeded.
- Lead a work stream within the manufacturing team of approximately 80 employees ensuring both individual and teams annual goals are delivered
- Support other work streams within manufacturing where required and help to develop the optimum solution that is best for manufacturing overall
- Effectively develop team members using situational leadership and performance management tools to ensure employees potential is achieved
- Drive continuous improvement activities across the stream delivering productivity in a safe and effective manner while maintaining product quality.
- Enhance service levels and overall customer experience while maintaining an efficient and safe manufacturing environment
- Manage project/ product risk to mitigate within acceptable boundaries as defined within the targets of the project/ sector.
- Participate in Sales, providing operational support to the Work Winning and Bid teams providing cognisance of all operational, technical and logístical aspects when compiling the appropriate tenders and prequalification documentation as appropriate.
- Co-ordinate submissions to key customers to ensure consistency, demonstrate that Balfour Beatty has added value, monitor and critique submission process and documents until projects are secured.
- Represent BBK as the main point of contact for the Factory and liaise with the relevant centre of excellence and colleagues, organising attendance at appropriate national conferences, exhibitions and other networking events to ensure that BBK are leadingwith respect to technical and operational capability within its chosen markets/ sectors.

**Who we're looking for** You will have the following:

- Previous experience of managing a factory/ continuous manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience in sheet metal/welding/pipework systems is highly desirable.
- Previous experience of leading a team effectively through change essential
- A strong communicator with the ability to build good working relationships at all levels
- Previous experience of leading and delivering projects is essential
- Working knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO18001, ISO44001.
- Experience or knowledge of Welding and Fabrication procedures such as BS EN 15614:2017, ASME IX, BS EN 3834 and PER; 2016 is desirable
- Experience in preparing strategic reports and business plans required, including researching, identifying and interpreting intelligence and data
