The North Lincolnshire Care Group at Rotherham, Doncaster & South Humber NHS Foundation Trust would like to offer an opportunity for an Employment Specialist to join the our Community Mental Health Team.

We are launching a new service offering Individual Placement & Support for patients with mental health problems. Our vision for this service is to enable people with mental health problems to be able to enjoy a good quality of life, reduce health inequalities, remain independent and in control, be included as members of society and, most importantly, realise their potential for recovery.

**Some of the key responsibilities of the role are**:

- Help patients to identify and consider options for returning to work and staying in work, and set their own personal job
- Ensure patients have access to employment law advice and are supported to exercise their rights under the Equality Act; working closely with employers where necessary on complex job retention issues, including cases of
- Teach employability skills to patients on a one-to-one basis and in group workshops where necessary (e.g. CVs, interview skills, )
- Keep up to date with local and national labour market trends, education/training opportunities, welfare benefit changes, and employment law in relation to people with mental health conditions.
- Work as part of a team, sharing knowledge and expertise, and contributing to team meetings and service development activities.
