We're currently searching for an outstanding Director to lead an education business providing academic short courses for international students of all ages.

The Director will assume full day-to-day responsibility for all aspects of the business, as well as two bespoke short course offerings. Main responsibilities including P&L / budget design & ownership, commercial, financial, and operational activity; andinteraction with the parent company.

At present the revenue generating areas are:

- UK summer school
- Year-round 1:1 home tuition
- Closed / tailored groups for schools & universities in the UK
- Global short-term programmes embedded in schools outside of the UK
- Premium revision courses
- University preparation programmes

The Director will oversee all six products with four direct reports managing a year-round team of around 12-15 staff members in total.

Responsibilities of the Business Director:

- Delivery of quality programmes
- Identifying new opportunities outside of core UK business areas
- Delivery of budget to C.EBITDA level
- Deliver accurate and timely reports on financial outlook and performance to line manager
- Monitor and provide commentary on financial monthly reports
- Assume responsibility for all expenditure in the annual budget
- Ensure top-level revenue and recruitment targets are met, through various channels including directs (B2C), agents (B2B)
- Management of key contracts, including hiring of school and college facilities over the summer months

Experience required -Business Director:

- Academic product management experience, preferably with oversight of both commercial and operational activity
- Experience of working in a target-driven environment
- Excellent Excel and reporting skills, including knowledge of CRMs (preferably Salesforce)
- Experience of line managing teams within a complex stakeholder environment

Desirable -- Experience of working in a summer school and/or an academic short course setting
- Experience of home tuition / tutoring programmes
- Experience of working closely with agents across the world
