**Post-Primary English Tutor - Carrickfergus**

We’re on the lookout for **dedicated, enthusiastic, and experienced English tutors** to join our vibrant team of Super Tutors in Carrickfergus. If you know the Northern Ireland post-primary curriculum inside out and love helping learners thrive, we’d love to hear from you

**Your Role**:

- Deliver engaging one-on-one or small group English sessions at post-primary level
- Support students with reading, writing, comprehension, and exam preparation
- Tailor lessons to meet individual learning needs and goals
- Track student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student development

**What We’re Looking For**:
**Essential**:

- Minimum 1 year of tutoring or teaching experience
- Strong knowledge of the **Northern Ireland post-primary English curriculum**:

- Excellent reading, writing, and grammar skills
- Ability to engage, encourage, and motivate students
- Clear communicator with a passion for education
- Reliable, patient, empathetic, and professional

**Preferred**:

- Teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE)
- Experience supporting students with additional needs

**What to Expect**:

- Tutors should be willing to commit to the role for at least one year
- All sessions are conducted **face-to-face in Carrickfergus**:

- This is a **self-employed** role

**Key Details**:

- **Pay** ranges from £20 to £30 per hour, depending on the level and type of lesson—whether one-to-one, group sessions, home visits, or sessions held at our Carrickfergus Hub. Further details will be discussed during the interview.
- **Expected hours**: 4 - 25 hours per week
- **Schedule**: Flexible - weekdays and weekends available
- **Requirements**: UK bank account, right to work in Northern Ireland, and enhanced AccessNI check (or willingness to obtain one)
