Stores Operative

Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, are now recruiting for a Stores Operative to join our operations team here in Staverton.

The role:
You’ll report into the Stores Manager & Stores Team Leader and contribute to the efficient running of the Stores function, ensuring correct procedures are carried out in the storage and issue of materials. You’ll be responsible for verifying and booking in piece parts received, ensuring that release is correct, and that traceability is always maintained.

You’ll be responsible for picking, issuing stock accordance to pick lists whilst ensuring rotation of stock, maintaining accurate stock records and carrying out regular stock control checks.

You’ll complete all tasks with a focus on Health & Safety and Quality regulations, whilst continuously seeking ways to improve our processes and service delivery.

About you:
You'll be an enthusiastic team player who has the aptitude and drive to develop a first-class Stores solution. You'll have previous experience of working in a store’s environment and working knowledge of stock control systems. You'll be computer literate and able to use ERP systems. Experience of working in aerospace / manufacturing environment (desirable)
