Our Client is a leading Top 5 independent Insurance broker, there exists an great opportunity in their Commercial Claims Team, based on the Surrey/Middlesex border for an experienced Claims Handler to deal with a wide variety of claims from a broad rangeof Commercial clients.
The Team prides itself on offering a tailored and customer-centric approach to Claims, providing expert guidance and negotiation along with a prompt and efficient service.
This role offers you the opportunity to play an integral part in this high-performing team, where you will manage your own varied caseload of claims and provide expert claims relationship to our clients.
You’ll have an excellent understanding of Motor Fleet and/or Motor Trade claims, with knowledge of EL/PL and Property Damage an advantage and you will be confident taking ownership of the claims process from start to finish, whilst ensuring that each clientexperiences a positive journey.
You’ll therefore be a ‘safe pair of hands’, a confident and empathetic communicator, able to deal with the challenges Claims can often throw up, whilst providing each client with careful and tailored advice.**Key Responsibilities will include**:

- Maintaining and managing your own personal caseload of claims
- Providing claims relationship management for large clients
- Handling claims that fall within the agreed definition of ‘Large Loss’ on referral and ensuring policy cover has been correctly interpreted
- Taking notifications from clients, setting up new claims and handling the process from start to finish
- Effectively negotiating with Insurers, Accident Management companies, Solicitors and Third Parties to keep the process moving
- Ensuring clients are kept updated and informed during the claims process, whilst managing expectations and assisting with settlements
- Producing and collating claims data and analyse trends
- Developing relationships with insurers and suppliers
- Scrutinising Insurer claims reports
- Delivering case studies to the Claims team to provide collective learning opportunities
- Attending client meetings and field visits with Client Managers/ Executives
- Liaising effectively with Commercial Client Managers and Executives to gain an in-depth understanding of each case
- Negotiating with Insurers to ensure the best outcome for your client's you’ve been managing all aspects of Commercial claims at either an insurer, broker or in a Loss Adjusting firm, enjoy solving problems, are an analytical thinker and pride yourself onbeing a resilient people person who’s not afraid to ask questions, we want to hear from you
