We’re looking for a **Transport Planner** to join our team on our Waitrose contract in **Brinklow, Milton Keynes**. You’ll be responsible for route planning and developing & managing real relationships with customers and drivers. You’ll ensure that our transport department always runs in an efficient and effective manner. You’ll work on a Monday - Friday basis, rotating over 5am till 1pm and 9am to 5pm. We ask for some flexibility as there maybe the occasional weekendthis is logistics after all

**Pay, benefits and more**:
We’re looking to offer a salary of **£28,074.24 per year**, depending on experience. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension, and many other perks.

**What you’ll do on a typical day**:

- Planning driver routes
- Manage the day-to-day transport operation including briefing and debriefing drivers, monitoring drivers hours and ensuring legal compliance is maintained
- Manage the Service and maintenance requirements for our fleet
- Deal with customer issues and monitor drivers daily progress, updating the customers as required

**What you need to succeed at GXO**
- Experience of working in a transport environment performing route planning
- Knowledge of transport legislation, driver hours and tachograph, use of Paragon would be a plus but we can train you if not
- Excellent people skills - team player
- Strong communicator both written and verbal with attention to detail
