**Digital Product Owner - Underwriting - **Commutable distance to London, Manchester or Birmingham local office.

You will be responsible for the oversight and management of the key digital underwriting products, particularly the Policy Administration Systems, Electronic Trading Solutions, the Underwriting Workbench and Data Ingestion Solution.

You’ll ensure the key digital underwriting products are managed both strategically and operationally to support the overarching goal of improving MRSG’s underwriting operational performance and contribute to achieving the underwriting business strategy.

Working with business and IT stakeholders to continuously review the key digital underwriting products to ensure they are meeting the needs of the underwriting teams to enable efficient working practices aligned to the overarching strategy and the underwriting target operating model.

**Responsibilities**
- Responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of a portfolio of digital underwriting products including assisting with planning, developing, testing, maintaining and configuring in accordance with the Business Owner role defined by the Munich Re methodology MR Essentials for developing and maintaining technology products.
- Work with the business stakeholders and IT to verify and manage business requirements in order to continuously improve the digital underwriting products portfolio.
- Owner of the business cases for the assigned product portfolio balancing investments with economical gain
- Work with the Change/Transformation project leads, business and technology architects as a point of contact for any projects that impact the digital underwriting products.
- Work with IT Product Managers and architects to drive alignment, assessment and prioritisation of identified demands for each digital underwriting product.
- Responsibility for sign off change requests, planning and executing product releases enhancements and upgrades.
- Perform functional impact analysis on any proposed changes to the digital underwriting products.
- Monitor the stable run of the digital underwriting products, including support for incident and monitoring processes aligned with the needs of the business and IT.
- Will be the point of contact for the digital underwriting products for regulatory and IT security requirements (e.g. IT Compliance, Business Product Owner role, Third-Party Vendor Management and Risk Management, Operational Resilienc
- Will be responsible for non-technical product changes, improvements and configuration such as rating, policy wording, referral amendments including user experience improvements in alignment with Munich Re’s norms for managing systems
- Will contribute the business view as a business product owner in third party service review meetings

**Knowledge and Skills**
- Experience designing solutions for policy administration, agent-facing portals, UW workbench, risk analysis and pricing, underwriting file capabilities is preferred.
- Experience with commercial-off-the-shelf or SaaS policy administration systems (e.g., S2000/Advantage Go, Guidewire, Duck Creek,), document production or rating engine software is preferred
- Strong experience in translating a business objective and strategy into defined services, operating model, product vision and roadmap and then oversee execution on the required roadmap.
- Must have excellent report writing skills, experience of preparing reports and presentations for Senior management / Committee or Board review.
