**Job Title**

Supplier Quality Assurance Executive

**The Role**

This is a specialist role for someone who will be responsible for establishing appropriate procedures and risk assessments to support protein works supplier assurance and monitoring programmes. Reporting to the Head of Technical, this person is responsible for ensuring raw materials, bought in finished goods and packaging approvals are in place to support the quality management system aligned with BRC V9 requirements.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Lead the development of the supplier assurance and raw material approval programs.
- Develop raw material risk assessment and sampling programs.
- Audit facilities and processes as appropriate
- Analyse results and highlight trends to identify problem areas to enable informed and effective decision making.
- Ensure all key product information is communicated within the Technical and NPD teams to enable risk-based decision making e.g. Food Safety HACCP
- Provide technical input for all development work to ensure products are safe, legal and meet PW strict food safety and quality standards.
- Maintain, develop and review VACCP/TACCP risk assessments (including Horizon Scanning)
- Member of the HACCP team
- Develop, monitor and report supplier performance scorecards.
- Maintain and develop excellent working relationships with suppliers to recommend and develop improvements in services offered.
- Lead supplier non-conformance related issues with a view to resolving in a timely manner so as to minimise impact to the business.

**Non-Negotiables**
- Previous experience within food manufacturing or food-based industry is essential.
- Clear and proven experience of Supplier Quality Assurance and approval programs
- Highly organised with exceptional verbal and written skills with a strong attention to detail
- Proven auditing experience
- Strong knowledge of HACCP and Food Safety

**Desirables**
- Qualified lead auditor
- BRCV9 conversion course
